KS special The Kombuis 2.0
( Estimated delivery in June )
In 2018 we launched our first version of the Kombuis. 4 years later we made some updates to the original design.
A lot of small updates have been made but these are the most important ones:
1. The new stove is taller.
2. The angle of the feeding tube is smaller, to reduce the backdraft in the stove.
3. The stove now has a double bottom with more insulation.
4. The pot stand has foldable legs to create a bigger carrying surface.
Making the stove taller and adding the double bottom has made the stove a bit heavier. But the Kombuis is not designed to be a super light stove, but it is solid and easy to use.
With this new version, we will make it possible to buy the Kombuis as a set with its pot and pan or to buy the stove on its own.

Rocket Stove
Airflow
There is a natural airflow (smoke) within this portable rocket stove. You do not need extra batteries or fans to make sure the fire burns well. Due to the natural airflow, which is caused by the fire, the air enters the rocket stove through its side tube, under which the fuel is burning.
Insulation
The insulation in the inside wall of the rocket stove makes sure that no heat gets lost and that the fire can burn well and efficiently.
Fuel
As fuel for the stove, we recommend you to use things you find in nature: wood, twigs, … Thanks to the side tube, you can always add fuel to the rocket stove. Additionally, the 30° angle enables the rocket stove to feed itself.
